After her 8-year-old son, Cole, won the 2-year battle of leukemia, her husband, Steve, suddenly passed away of terminal illness, leaving Donna to raise Cole and her three other children alone: 11-year-old Blake, 3-year-old Aiden and 1 ½-year-old Stephanie. Now Donna is so depleted, she's lost control over her kids, and finds it hard to discipline.

Now both of the older boys curse at their mother, flip her off, swear and fight constantly and have a complete lack of respect for her and each other because ever since the dad died there is no male figure to discipline them. Cole is angry, foul-mouthed, and nasty towards Donna. Blake is very aggressive runs off to hang out with teenagers. Aiden and baby Stephanie are starting to copy bad behavior from their older brothers.

Fan Reception[]

The Mihalik Family was one of the most emotional episodes of Supernanny. When Cole was 4 years old, he had leukemia and won the battle. Shortly after, before Stephanie was born, Steven Mihalik passed away from a terminal illness, which was very difficult for the boys to lose their father from a young age. As a result, many fans believed that is why Blake was having an attitude and hanging out with the wrong friends. Many fans despised Cole for giving Donna the finger. However, many critics say that Donna is a strong, brave widow who never gave up despite things going rough. Like The George Family, some fans criticized Cole getting the Naughty Couch because they say the Reflection Room or the Naughty Room would be more appropriate for his age.

Overall, this episode is rated mediocre by fans.
